MATTHEW HAFELEIN
Matthew (Matt) specializes in intellectual property, specifically copyright and trademark issues, as well as general business representation. He possesses an in-depth knowledge of laws regarding works made-for-hire, IP assignment and licensing, non-disclosure agreements and trade secrets.
He received his B.A. in Finance from the Broad College of Business at Michigan State University and his J.D. from DePaul University College of Law. Matthew passed the IL state bar exam in 2009. Prior to law school, he worked at The Northern Trust Company as a portfolio accounting analyst, assisting Fortune 500 companies with their ERISA reporting requirements. Since then, he has worked at several small law firms focused on representing consumers and small businesses. He also enjoys working with Lawyers for the Creative Arts, a Chicago-based non-profit that provides pro bono legal service to the arts community.
